WWE All Stars: Demo Review

The demo for the new WWE All Stars game was just released for the Xbox. I quickly downloaded it and commenced in playing. I am indeed a wrestling fan and have played all of the WWE Smackdown Vs. Raw games since the beginning. Smackdown plays like a true wrestling game and I was expecting the same level of game play. Instead, I got something so much worse.
The demo allows for you to play as either Rey Mysterio or The Ultimate Warrior, an odd combination indeed. The game play is the definition of "suspension of reality". Overly muscled avatars that is in no way represent the real wrestlers past or present, combination sequences that scream Marvel Vs. Capcom and each finisher is very exaggerated and over done. I couldn't get a grasp of the button configuration and lost horribly.
I had high hopes for this game when I first heard of it and thought it would be a fun adaptation of SvR (Smackdown vs. Raw). But needless to say that after one match, the demo got deleted. There is another adaptation game out there called Legends of Wrestlemania. I took that way more serious than this piece of...well...crap. Here is a vid to show what I am talking about.
